Do you know what to do in case of an emergency?

Sometimes things happen where we find ourselves in the position to greatly help in an emergency situation. Having the skills and knowledge to provide assistance, if ever needed, could be the difference between life and death. Therefore, it is vital that you understand the procedures for CPR and first aid. Your Emergency First Response course gives you hands-on practice with these life saving skills.

The Emergency First Response course teaches you how to respond to life-threatening and, not immediately life-threatening, injuries and illnesses. This course works by combining knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to build your proficiency in handling emergencies.

Hopefully, we never find ourselves in a situation that would require these skills. However, having the knowledge and ability to perform when needed is what makes the EFR course such an important part of our education. These essential skills can allow you to help in everyday emergencies, even when you’re not diving.

Here is a first hand account of how the skills gained in this course helped save a life: How your Emergency First Response Training Can Save a Life
