Rescue Diver Classes
PADI Rescue Diver
Ever wonder what to do if you find a panicked diver or encounter a medical emergency while diving? The PADI Rescue Scuba Diver course will teach you what to do in the event of just such an emergency.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to equip divers with the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and, if necessary, safely handle dive related emergencies. During the Rescue Diver course the student will learn procedures for self rescue, diver rescue, emergency management and accident prevention. During the course of the Rescue Diver training, each student will be presented with several different emergency scenarios to be performed in an open water environment. In order to complete this course the student must have a current CPR and first aid training.
For those of you who are not First Aid and CPR certified, our Emergency First Responder class is on Tuesday evening beginning at 6pm. The Rescue Diver classroom is held on Thursday evenings at Lone Star Scuba beginning at 6pm. A pool session is conducted on Friday evening beginning at 7pm and then your Rescue Diver class is completed at the lake on Saturday and Sunday.
The Rescue Diver course is $225 plus the required PADI Rescue Diver crewpack which is $67.55. Discounted rental gear is available for students enrolled in the course.
