What Do You Do For A Living?

Your answer to this question should be “I’m a professional scuba diver!” If your answer is anything but this then you’ve chosen a life of cubicles, business casual dress and sitting in traffic with the same people every day. Of course, you already know this which is why you have come to this page. The PADI Divemaster course is your first step in professional diving. By becoming a Divemaster you have the ability to live and work anywhere around the world that has water. Imagine taking that beach vacation and never having to return to the doldrums of the nine to five!

What It Means To Be A Divemaster

Being a Divemaster means more than taking divers to see the octopus the locals have dubbed “Bruno” every day. Well, let’s face it, even if that is all it meant it still sounds pretty good. Being a Divemaster means assisting other divers, both new and experienced, with their underwater adventures. You will be able to lead dives, assist with training and even be able to teach some scuba courses yourself. On top of that, you’ll have the opportunity to introduce others to scuba with the Discover Scuba program. Plus, becoming a Divemaster opens the doors to a world of scuba jobs out there waiting for you.

How You Become A Divemaster

Your PADI Divemaster course is designed to teach you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. In your course you will learn how to conduct dive briefings and to supervise and assist student divers. Also, you’ll learn the business of diving and how to make a career out of scuba. During your course you further develop your scuba skills with in-water training and knowledge development workshops.
