Scientific Diver Scuba Classes

Lone Star Scuba in Fort Worth, Texas

The Scientific Diver Course, offered at Aquarena Springs in San Marcos , Texas is an introduction to diving in an ecologically sensitive area.  The course is designed to teach students to use specialized diving techniques to prevent damage to sensitive ecosystems and also around federally protected endangered species.  This is a great way for local divers to learn new and exciting skills while diving in Caribbean-like waters.  The temperature of this warm spring is 72 degrees year-round and has visibility of 60 to 90 feet!

The classroom portion of the course covers topics such as archeology, hydrology, and biology.  The water skills include an underwater buoyancy course designed to help divers navigate through sensitive environments without disturbing the ecosystem.
